Florida Red Ruffles Lance Leaved Caladium – 3 tubers

Botanical Name: Caladium hortulanum Height: 6 to 12 inches Description: A star of the Florida Hybrids Series which were bred for greater sun tolerance as well as bold color in distinctive patterns. Florida Red Ruffles has casually ruffled leaves of a bold, shiny red surrounded by a dark green border. The plants are quite short (about 12 inches at most), and they develop quickly for a display that begins in midsummer and lasts into fall. Like all caladiums, they thrive in full shade, but thickness of the leaves allows them to grow in partial or even full sun if kept well watered. Their small size makes them perfect for pots, hanging planters, rock gardens, and locations and purposes where low growth is desirable.
